On January 8, 2024, the first (third) plenary session of the Import and Export Chamber of Commerce in Yongnian District, Handan City was grandly held in the conference room on the first floor of the China Yongnian Fastener Expo Center. All members of the Chamber of Commerce and elites from various fields such as foreign trade, hardware, and fasteners from all over the country gathered together to discuss and look forward to a new journey of foreign trade development in Yongnian District.
At 2:10 pm, amidst the solemn national anthem, the conference kicked off. At the beginning of the meeting, Zhao Yanqi, Honorary President of the Yongnian District Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, expressed sincere gratitude and blessings to all members and guests; Subsequently, Ji Xuefei, the Executive President of the Chamber of Commerce, read out the Decision of the Third Expanded Meeting of the First President of the Yongnian District Import and Export Chamber of Commerce.
Subsequently, amidst enthusiastic applause from all attendees, Yang Zhuqiang, President of the Yongnian District Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, took the stage to present his work summary for 2023 and work plan for 2024.
President Yang comprehensively reviewed the achievements of the Chamber of Commerce in the past year. She stated that in the past year, the Chinese economy has continued to rebound and improve. Under the strong leadership of the Yongnian District Committee and Government, and the careful guidance of the Yongnian District Bureau of Commerce, all members of the Yongnian District Import and Export Chamber of Commerce have fully leveraged the advantages of the Chamber of Commerce, united, seized opportunities, and achieved hard-earned results on the road of pursuing dreams. In the future, the Yongnian Import and Export Chamber of Commerce will continue to strengthen its organizational construction, expand its scale, enhance its cohesion, better serve member enterprises, and enable “Yongnian Manufacturing” to go further and better on the global stage.
At the meeting, multiple commendation activities were also held, and the Chamber of Commerce commended and awarded medals to the top ten export member leading enterprises in 2023, the top ten export member enterprises with the most potential in 2023, outstanding member enterprises in 2023, and outstanding groups.
Zhang Ning, the acting district chief of Yongnian District, delivered a speech at the meeting. He emphasized the important role of the Yongnian District Import and Export Chamber of Commerce in promoting regional economic development, and had high hopes for its future development. He stated that the government will further support the work of the Chamber of Commerce, provide more policy and resource support for member enterprises, and jointly promote the economic prosperity of Yongnian District.
The conference also invited numerous guests to share their experiences in overseas trade. Cai Zhan (English name: Mia), the general manager of Rui’an Gude Import and Export Co., Ltd., an off campus tutor of Wenzhou University Business School, and a well-known foreign trade lecturer of Tiktok, shared the keynote speech “How to effectively use exhibition marketing”; Li Pengsen, Chairman of Ruimu (Hebei) Education Technology Co., Ltd. and CEO of Raoyang County Cross border Park in Hebei Province, shared the keynote speech on “Cross border Export of Bulk Goods”. Yang Junfeng, founder of Chinese Screw Network, shared a speech on the bottleneck, challenges, and opportunities for fastener companies to expand overseas markets on site. As is well known, fasteners are one of the pillar industries in Yongnian District and an important export product. Mr. Yang’s speech resonated strongly with the attendees, and there was continuous applause on site.
